Moldy Green Cheese

I frown at the giggling stars.

I, the milky moon, glisten.

I shine.

I watch the stars, as silver as a spider’s web.

I spy the trees stretch, then groan.

I beam.

I observe the owls glide like a pen on paper.

I view into the night as clear as glass that everything is well.

Then I boom in my clear voice, “I am the moon.”

My Sheep and I in 1848

If I had been alive in 1848, I would have rushed from the east on the trail to the west.

I brought two lambs, a boy and a girl.  They were named Albert and Gertrude.  I also brought a bunch of seeds.  I rode an ox-led wagon with only Albert and Gertrude to keep me company.

When I got there, I made a barn for my sheep.  (They had grown by now.)  My sheep had twin sheep.  It was time to shear my sheep.  I used the wool to make shirts for the miners.  I grew vegetables and started a market called, “VEGETABLES TO MAKE YOU STRONG.”  I have learned a big secret!  I got more money than the people that panned for gold!

My two ox were named Bob and George.  They helped me hoe my vegetables.  By the way, my two twin sheep were named Wilbur and Orville.

1848 was a good year for me.

Soccer

I think you should play soccer.  First, it’s easy and fun, and it gives you a lot of exercise.  It also has simple rules.  Second, it’s team building.  When you’re near lots of children your age, you usually make friends.  It also helps you to depend on friends.  Third, it does not require lots of equipment.  All you need is a soccer ball, shorts and a t-shirt, socks, shin pads, and cleats.  Fourth, it has rules that keep you safe from most accidents that happen often.  Soccer is fun and safe.  That is why I think you should play it.

My Psalm of Praise

Thank You, Lord for the beautiful mountains that poke their shiny heads in the blue sky.

Thank You for the dull gray rocks that make streams hop peacefully.

Thank You for the feathery clouds sitting comfortably in the blue, blue sky.

Thank You for the glittering sands at the edge of crashing waves.

Thank You, Lord, for all the wonderful things You made!

Amen.
